These wonderfully crispy and flavorful bacon chips work well for scooping up guacamole, salsa, or sour cream. They're perfect on game day or anytime you crave something crunchy on the keto diet.

Many people complain that they miss crunchy snacks on the keto diet. I was one of them until I realized there are many options, including roasted nuts and keto cheese chips. These bacon chips are one of those snacks that help you stop feeling as though you're missing out on something. They are incredibly tasty, and they are also very easy to make.
Ingredients
You'll only need ONE ingredient to make these tasty chips - a package of bacon! It's best to choose medium-thickness strips, not very thin or thick. But if you end up using those, simply adjust the baking time.
Instructions
The detailed instructions and step-by-step photos are included in the recipe card. Here's a quick overview.
Cut each slice of bacon into three or four bite-size pieces. Arrange the pieces on a rimmed, parchment-lined baking sheet.
Bake them until very crispy. This should take about 20 minutes in a 400°F oven.
Let them cool and crisp up some more, then serve. I love dipping them in guacamole!
Really, really good. Especially with sour cream. Yum.

Recipe Tip
The chips will be too soft when they emerge from the oven. Make sure to let them rest and firm up for about ten minutes before using them.
Recipe FAQs
No. We need these chips to be very crispy, so bacon alternatives (turkey bacon, beef bacon, and duck bacon), while delicious, won't work.
Yes. Microwave bacon is delicious and can come out very crispy. Since microwave ovens vary, you'll need to experiment with how long to microwave the bacon pieces. In a 1000-watt microwave, I recommend starting with 2 minutes and adding more time as needed.
While we all like our chips to be salty, there's no need to add salt since bacon is very salty.
After they're completely cool, I store these chips in a resealable bag in the fridge. They last for about five days.
You don't even need to reheat them, by the way. Cold bacon is surprisingly delicious. But if you'd like to reheat them, place them on a plate lined with a paper towel, cover with another paper towel, and microwave in 30-second increments. You can also reheat them uncovered in a 350°F oven to crisp them back up.
Serving Suggestions
Serve these chips as you would serve any other chips, alone or with a dip. Guacamole is an excellent choice. Other options include any of the following:
On game day, I like to make a platter with these chips, parmesan crisps, fresh-cut vegetables, and a dip or two. No one complains, not even my kids, who typically eat a higher-carb fare than we do.
